A. H. ARMSTRONG CALLED BY DEATH
Erysipelas Proved Fatal To Well Known Reading Resident Today.
Allen H. Armstrong, the well known Reading township farmer answered the death summons at 2 o'clock this morning, following a week's illness with erysipelas, death occurring at the residence, four and three-fourths miles south of this city.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Ohio on March 27, 1863 coming with his parents to Illinois at the age of two years, where he has since resided.
On February 2,1887 he was united in marriage with Miss Alminia Defenbaugh. To this union five children were born, Esther, Ellen, Laura, Lyman and Talbert, all of whom with his wife, one sister, Mrs. Henry Walters of Brookfield, Mo., one brother Eugene Armstrong of near Reading, and four half brothers and five half sisters survive him.
The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their sudden bereavement.
The funeral services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
