The altar was pretty with white chrysanthemums on both sides and lighted tapers in the Candelabra. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her two sons, Clifford and Kenneth. She wore a street length dress of teal blue crepe with blue feather hat and gloves to match and wore a corsage of white carnations. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Howard S. Allen. Howard S. Allen, also a son of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Clark L. Plummer of Bement and Frederick Plunk of Monticello. A reception was held at the bride's home for 40 relatives and friends. The bride's table was beautifully decorated with a two- tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom and lighted tapers. Punch and cake were served by Mrs. Calvin Smart of Decatur, Mrs Clark Plummer of Bement, Mrs Frederick Plunk and Miss Thelma Riley of Monticello. The couple left on a short wedding trip, and after their return will make their home in Monticello.
