John D. Griffith, 60, of Old Rushville Road N.E., Rushville, died Thursday, August 18, 1994, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ; Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict; and retired supervisor of the special machine shop at Diamond Power Corporation. He is survived by his wife Marilyn R. Griffith; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and David Holmberg of Portage, Michigan, Susan and Thad Goodman of Bremen; son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Shelly Griffith of Columbus; eight grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Bernadine and Bob Baker, Georgia Griffith, all of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Florence Moore Griffith. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sheridan Funeral Home, with Minister David C. Tingler officiating; burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Fairfield County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
